Corporations (Relevant Providers Degrees, Qualifications and Courses Standard) Determination 2021
The Minister approves qualifications in the Corporations (Relevant Providers Degrees, Qualifications and Courses Standard) Determination 2021 (the Determination).
Schedule 1 of the Determination lists approved qualifications.
An approved qualification means:
- the name on the qualification document matches exactly with a Determination item and
- it satisfies any conditions, including commencement and subjects.
How to read the Determination
Part 1—Preliminary
This contains definitions of terms used in the Determination.
Part 2—Approvals of degrees and qualifications
This outlines the approval of degrees and qualifications listed in Schedule 1.
You must complete an ethics bridging unit to have an approved qualification.
Some qualifications do not need an ethics bridging unit. The conditions will note where this unit is not needed.
A person will need to show they have an approved qualification. They can do this using a transcript or a statement from the education provider. The transcript or statement must show the person has met the conditions.
Part 3—Existing providers: qualifications equivalent to the education and training standard
This outlines the extra study for existing providers. This is an alternative to an approved qualification.
Section 7 shows a summary of the education pathways.
Section 8 outlines the courses or units of study an existing provider must complete. The pathway depends on their prior study.
Schedule 1—Degrees and qualifications
Schedule 1 lists approved qualifications.
It lists items grouped by higher education provider in alphabetical order.
Part 1 lists bachelor’s degrees.
Part 2 lists post‑graduate qualifications.
The conditions may need the person to have started the qualification at a certain time.
The conditions may also need the person to study certain subjects. The “Other conditions” column lists these subjects.
Where the “Other conditions” column states “N/A” there are no extra conditions.
The ethics bridging unit is not needed where the “Other conditions” column states:
- “Paragraph 6(2)(a) does not apply to this qualification (about an ethics bridging unit)”.
