Higher education providers

Higher education providers (HEPs) must tell Treasury of any changes to their approved courses. This includes:

  • Changes to subject names or codes
  • Changes to the program structure
  • Ceased programs, courses or units of study
  • New program listings
  • Contact details of approved program managers or key personnel.

HEPs must not advertise a course as an approved qualification unless approved by the Minister.

Please submit a separate form for each proposed change. (e.g. if multiple subjects are being updated, a separate request is required for each subject).

Where a single change affects multiple items on the Determination, only one form is required.

Update details for an approved qualification

Total file size of supporting documents must be less than 25 MB.

Ceasing an approved qualification (including an approved unit of study)

Applying for a new approved qualification

Please provide details of the new course including:

  • the Name of the Qualification exactly as it will appear on documentation
  • planned commencement dates
  • mapping of the content against the curriculum
  • any specific conditions on which you are seeking approval.

Treasury will review the initial information and contact you regarding next steps in the accreditation process.

Update details for approved bridging units (including ceasing)

Which bridging unit(s) does this submission relate to?

Please outline details of the changes you are seeking (e.g. Approval of a new course, Course code/Name change, updated course content, ceasing a course). Where you are ceasing a course please outline the last date by which students can enrol.

Declaration

I confirm that the requested changes have been/will be approved by the relevant academic body(ies).

Where approval has not been granted, I have advised Treasury in the application details and undertake to provide this confirmation at a later date. I understand that no changes will be made to the Determination until evidence of approval has been provided to Treasury.
